Undergraduate Research

Involvement of undergraduate students in research is strongly encouraged at Georgia Tech. Undergraduate students can earn credits for Undergraduate Research (APPH-4699) by regularly participating in research activity in one of the research labs at the School of Applied Physiology. Research activity may include development of experimental apparatus and software, data collection, data analysis, conference presentation, and manuscript writing. The requirement for being accepted in the lab may vary depending on the labs. Please look into the research labs and contact directly to the director of the research labs for available opportunities.

Undergraduate students can apply for Presidents Undergraduate Research Awards that provide $1500 (max) salary awards or $1000 (max) travel awards. There may be other funding mechanisms depending on the labs.
