The Human Anatomy and Physiology requirement must be completed in 2 courses.

Whether you completed a combined Human Anatomy and Physiology or completed separate Human Anatomy and Human Physiology courses, the anatomy content must include human cadaver lab-based dissection or prosection. Course content must include the musculoskeletal system as well as the nervous system. The ideal course includes a clinically oriented approach.

At a minimum, skeletal muscle topics covered must include the origins, insertions, innervations, and actions of the prime and secondary movers.

If you have not met the human cadaver dissection laboratory requirement because it was not offered as part of your coursework, you may still apply and possibly be accepted to the MSPO program; however, your admission will be contingent upon completing the human cadaver dissection laboratory prerequisite. On a space available basis, admitted MSPO students may enroll in AP 4651 Human Anatomy at Georgia Tech (course syllabus.doc) offered over the summer session prior to matriculation in the fall semester in order to fulfill the requirement.

Students will be required to have certain immunizations prior to matriculating into the program. Additional general requirements may be imposed by the MSPO program and the graduate school of the Georgia Institute of Technology .
